12.03.07 - Sciphone 2.0 Launches...Welcome to the new Sciphone! We're still tweaking the site, so bare with us for a few hours while we get everything fixed and working properly. Apparently all of our keywords didn't carry over for our wallpapers, so we're gonna have to manually add them all again...d'oh.

We'll try to migrate everything as quickly as possible, but we can't promise everything's going to be smooth as butter. ( We sure do hope so... ) Cya guys on the flipside.
Friday, November 30th, 2007 - Sciphone supports Ron Paul.We're doing what we can to spread the word. Instead of a normal Theme Pack release, we've decided to create some "Paul-Papers" for your iPhone / iPod Touch. Please help Dr. Paul raise $12 million for his campaign, every dollar counts. Also, our website was experiencing some problems yesterday, but everything has been worked out. I hope you guys are ready for Sciphone 2.0...
Wednesday, November 28th, 2007 - Sciphone 2.0 on December 3rd...We've been working non-stop polishing Sciphone 2.0 and all the new features. We're sure the new site updates will blow you away, and we've set a December 3rd launch. To celebrate the Community features, we'll be giving away $10 iTunes gift cards every 3rd day until Christmas! All you have to do is register and upload one wallpaper, all winners will be picked randomly. We'll also be starting our "Cash Out Rewards", the top 3 uploaders at the end of the month will receive $25, $10, and $5. In order to participate, you'll have to also register an account on the forums so we can keep track of your approved upload count. The Theme Pack competitions will start shortly after the launch date.
Saturday, November 24th, 2007 - Newest and Most Popular online...If you take a look on the left sidebar where the Wallpaper categories are located you'll see two new links for Newest Additions and Most Popular. This update was long overdue, and soon enough the whole site will be updated. Both sections only show 128 of the most recent and most popular wallpapers for bandwidth sake. Stay tuned for more news on the big update!

Some features include: user submitted wallpapers, greatly improved search, ranking system, comment system, faster load times, easier navigation, and much more. Tuesday, November 13th, 2007 - Girls Next Door 2008 Calendar...It's been a while since we've thrown up a new theme pack, so here's Playboy's Girls Next Door 2008 Calendar for your enjoyment. We've added it under the name "playboy 2008" because the full name was too wide for the site to handle. We're also in talks about user submitted wallpapers and having a section with incentives and prizes, so stay tuned for more information.

Sunday, November 4th, 2007 - More Sexy, new Section : Brands... We've gotten a lot of requests for fashion brands and brands in general, so we're launching a new section, brands, that will provide just that. We know the category is pretty broad, as many things can be considered a brand. We will try our best to cover the top ones first, and slowly bring in the rest. If you'd like to see something that's not on the site, let us know. We've also added 21 new sexy wallpapers. We know how much you guys love that section, hehe.
Wednesday, October 31st, 2007 - Happy Halloween from Sciphone!Today marks the 3rd month Sciphone has been officially online. Today of course is also Halloween, and Sciphone has some digital eye candy for the kid inside us all. We've added 9 new Halloween wallpapers to the Holidays section, along with 16 new car wallpapers. Be safe, and don't eat too much sugar, and thanks for making Sciphone your source for iPhone / iPod wallpapers. <3
Monday, October 29th, 2007 - In China, and Online. An Update...Thank God for unsecured wireless connections. I've managed to capture a faint signal with speeds equivilant to dial-up, but hey, at least it's the Internet. Takes me back to the days of Netscape Navigator, times when people didn't know what Google was. Oh the good old days of web 1.0. We've updated the site with a new theme pack and some halloween wallpapers. More to come!
Monday, October 22nd, 2007 - Changes in the near future... Well this will be my last update for a few weeks, I'm off to China tomorrow morning. I've cleaned up the site a bit, rearranged some elements, and improved the overall user experience. During my vacation I'll be finalizing Phase II of Sciphone, and hopefully start beta testing the new site / features and unleash it to the public on New Years. Stay tuned, we've got a lot more coming soon.
Friday, October 19th, 2007 - Holidays, and a vacation...Well we've had several requests for adding holiday themed wallpapers to our gallery, so today I've added 38 Christmas wallpapers under the new Holidays section. Also In the coming weeks I'll be pretty busy with family and holidays that there may not be too many updates until after Thanksgiving. I don't think I'll be near a computer as much as I'd like to, but I'll see what I can do. Stay tuned.
Tuesday, October 16th, 2007 - More cars, OSX Leopard and Anime.Today brings the addition of 32 car wallpapers, and to celebrate the announcement of OSX Leopard release on october 26th, we've added 6 Leopard wallpapers under technology. Also we threw a few more up in random places, so happy hunting! Anime also sees an addition of 58 wallpapers. Our blog also will update on wallpaper related news, along with previews, etc for new additions.
Saturday, October 13th, 2007 - Sexy / 3D wallpapers are here...It's been a few days, we know. We've been busy with other projects and haven't had time to get around to Sciphone for wallpaper updates. Today we've added 40 wallpapers to the sexy section, a favorite at Sciphone. Also threw up 11 new 3d wallpapers as well. Shoot us some requests and we'll see what we can do for you! Stay tuned!
Wednesday, October 10th, 2007 - More Anime goodness...Well if you haven't noticed already, we've fattened the width of the website to make room for future features we'll be adding. We're currently testing out some new stuff here and there, and discussing how to improve Sciphone. In the meantime, we've added 33 more anime wallpapers, as we're bringing the new section up to speed with the others. Stay tuned for more updates!
Tuesday, October 9th, 2007 - New wallpaper category : Anime!To all those requests out there for some animated love, we've finally filled the void. We are announcing the birth of Anime, our newest section on Sciphone. To celebrate this event, we've uploaded 60 anime wallpapers, and will continue to add more throughout the week. Check back for more updates! Keep those requests coming, they help us guage what new additions to consider.
Sunday, October 7th, 2007 - New theme pack : Smoke, Anime section...We've added 38 wallpapers in our new theme pack smoke. This brings our total wallpaper count to 2149. We've got a new section that will be online this week, it has been requested many many times, and we're getting a few more wallpapers prepared for the launch of the Anime section. Stay tuned, we've got a great line up in the near future, help us spread the word!
Thursday, October 4th, 2007 - Fine Arts gets an overhaul... This update was long overdue. Being from an Art school, you'd expect our knowledge from all those Art History classes would pay off. Well here it is finally, an additional 59 wallpapers have been added to the fine arts section for all those well cultured, sophisticated iPhone / iPod Touch owners out there. Check it out! We've got more wallpapers coming soon!
Tuesday, October 2nd, 2007 - We're bringing sexy back. Tonight sees the addition of 33 new wallpapers in the sexy category. We've got quite the overhaul for fine arts coming soon, just so you guys know we're not always thinking of the females. Also a new theme pack is in line for release, along with college football teams. Check back soon for more updates!
Sunday, September 30th, 2007 - Finally moved in and online. We had a few database issues during the migration from the old server, but everything is back in order, online, and functional. We know you guys missed us, expect to see more wallpaper updates soon! Let us know how the new server is responding, or if you're experiencing any hicups.
Friday, September 28th, 2007 - We're outgrowing our hosting...Well we just received an e-mail from (mt) letting us know we'll be going over our bandwidth usage for this month. We'll soon be moving to a much needed dedicated server, so if the site is down, don't freak out. We've done a few more site optimizations to throttle the bandwidth until we situate in our new home. We'll keep you updated! More wallpapers coming soon.
Wednesday, September 26th, 2007 - Bring on the Textures... Like we promised, each section is having a day for overhauling. Today we've added 68 new texture wallpapers. Check them out, they're pretty amazing and elegant. We've also added 15 wallpapers to the cars and military section. That's 98 new additions today, pushing us over the 2000 wallpaper mark! Yay for us. We're not stopping, check back for more updates.
Tuesday, September 25th, 2007 - Wallpaper counter, and Food++ Do we really have that many wallpapers? Well the question is finally answered, as we launch our wallpaper counter. This new helpful page will show our users when each section was updated with new content, and how much content is contained in each category. You can access it by clicking "Wallpapers" and clicking the link under the title, or by clicking our "XXXX wallpapers and counting..." dialog on the homepage. We've overhauled the food section with 69 new wallpapers, and scattered a bunch more all around.
Sunday, September 23th, 2007 - Backend cleaning and improvements... I know you guys are a little disappointed in the lack of wallpapers this week, but fear not, we've been secretly working on the system to speed things up for everyone. We can officially say that talks are underway for future updates and improvements, so if you have any ideas or thoughts, please let us know.
Thursday, September 20th, 2007 - Soccer theme pack, more wallpapers. Today we've added a new theme pack for all the international users, so enjoy the soccer teams.We've also added new game and music wallpapers, so make sure you check those out. Tonights update adds over 50+ new wallpapers to our collection, bringing our total wallpaper count to 1858! Stay tuned for more.
Tuesday, September 18th, 2007 - International love press release. Well it appears a few international sites have been mentioning us, and well we wanted to reach back out to the global community. global.sciphone.net was put in place as portal for international users. The top languages are there, and if you happen to speak them, please let us know if it's translated correctly. Think of it as a global press release to let everyone know what we're all about. We've also added 40+ new wallpapers throughout the site. More coming soon!
Monday, September 17th, 2007 - New theme pack and sexy wallpapers As promised, we've added over 50+ sexy wallpapers, put up a new Threadless theme pack, and added over 40+ wallpapers throughout the other categories. This brings our total wallpaper count to 1780. Keep the suggestions coming, we enjoy reading your e-mails. I know some of the other categories have be neglected, but soon enough we'll refresh them with new content.
Sunday, September 16th, 2007 - Just some Sunday cleaning... We've been optimizing sciphone for the increasing amount of traffic. This is probably due to the iPod Touch release and also the iPhone price drop. You may have noticed the iPod Touch additions (and the new favicon), seeing as they essentially have the same screen real estate as the iPhone, why not share the love? We'll have more wallpaper updates soon!
Thursday, September 13th, 2007 - Updates, updates, updates! Yes, we know it's been a while since we last updated the site. I've had some unexpected family issues to deal with, and my partner is getting buckled down for the start of fall quarter. I've added 20 or so wallpapers here and there, plus the addition of 2 new theme packs: Fish, and Dragons. We'll open the flood gates soon, we promise! If you have wallpaper suggestions, let us know!
Friday, August 25th, 2007 - Fireworks, Fractals, and Fantasy...It may seem we're tapering off our updates, but we've been busy adjusting and getting ready for the last year of college. Sciphone will be in full force again mid September, so expect more stunning wallpapers from us very soon. In the meantime, enjoy our new theme pack: Fireworks. We've also added a new section: Fractals, and also 19 new fantasy wallpapers. This brings our wallpaper count to 1652!
Sunday, August 19th, 2007 - Fine art, 3D, and NFL! A fairly big update for this sunday, we've added 40+ fine art wallpapers, and created a 3D category due to popular demand, so we'll be adding more to that in the near future. We've also thrown up a few theme packs: M.C. Escher, and NFL team wallpapers! If you guys have any requests or ideas for wallpapers, drop us a line, we'd be happy to hear from you.

Sunday, August 12th, 2007 - Graffiti theme pack, and more wallpapers. Today ushers in another theme pack release: graffiti. We've also added 100+ wallpapers to populate the smaller categories. Friday, August 10th, 2007 - Uniting the masses, and more wallpapers. Hey guys, we're in the process of creating something big here... Soon enough you will be unleashed to phase 2 of our global domination. We've touched base with a lot of great iPhone websites and we've also added a lot more wallpapers to our galleries. We should have a big event for when we break the 1000 count.

( 72 wallpapers to be exact ) We're in the process of implementing a iPhone blog with the same mantra as sciphone.
