Spread the word, Digg us up: http://digg.com/apple/Mobile_Sciphone_Download_wallpapers_on_iPhone_iPod_touch

mobile.sciphone
surf and download on iPhone and iPod touch.
=============================

It's finally here. I know it's not July 11th yet, but since the iPhone 2.0 software has been released into the wild, I figured we might as well launch the finished product and give it some time to marinate.

Since the launch of Sciphone on July 31st, 2007 we've worked hard to become the best source for iPhone and iPod touch wallpapers on the Internet. A few months later, Sciphone clones were popping up left and right, but none of them could step up to our level of quality and commitment. Now, a year later, alongside the iPhone 3G launch, we're raising the bar once again with the introduction of the mobile.sciphone platform.

This new web application marries immaculate programming and stunning design. We are quite proud of our creation, and we think you will enjoy browsing and downloading our wallpapers from your iPhone and iPod touch. All you need is the iPhone 2.0 software update, and the following web address...

Point your devices to :
http://mobile.sciphone.net

Don't forget to save the web application onto your home screen and let all your friends know about our simple and intuitive portal for downloading and enjoying new wallpapers on your iPhone and iPod touch. Take advantage of that beautiful screen, it's now easier than ever to browse and collect wallpapers on the go.

On behalf of the Sciphone Team, we hope you enjoy our new application!    Tongue

- Sunny

P.S. Starting July 11th, visiting the main Sciphone site ( http://www.sciphone.net ) on your iPhone or iPod touch will automatically take you to the new optimized mobile.sciphone website. Please note that in order to download wallpapers directly to your iPhone or iPod touch, you will need to have the iPhone 2.0 software update installed on your device.

Here are some screenshots of the mobile.sciphone platform for your viewing pleasure, but we highly advise you test drive it yourself... pictures cannot describe the unique browsing experience.

Definitely. I've also submitted our web application to Apple, so hopefully we'll get some extra exposure for the mobile platform.

You know most of those sexy wallpapers were uploaded by you, so keep up the great work, I'm sure a lot of people appreciate your contributions. Smiley

you guys probably have noticed the mobile.sciphone banner popping up throughout the site... we're really trying to push the new platform, and so far we've had over 1500+ people visit the site since launch!

Thanks for continuing to make Sciphone your source for great wallpapers Smiley

The Sciphone mobile app will not be showing up on Apple's App Store, as it is not a natively-running app. It is a webapp that requires a connection to the internet via the mobile Safari browser to pull its content from the main site. However, Sunny has submitted it to Apple's Webapps page, and I guess we're just waiting to see if it is approved and posted there in the next few days.

Great launch for the mobile platform, it's gaining popularity quite quickly. ( still no signs of it on the Apple Web Application page... hopefully soon )

Just wanted to let you guys know that we've received a lot of great feedback from our mobile users, and we hope to continue to expand the mobile platform and of course, continue to offer the best wallpapers around.

Start up iTunes and check for updates, or you can download it manually on Apple's website.
